Making Changes to Your Website
Turn Around Time
Our typical turn-around time for changes is 1 to 2 business days. If we expect for your changes to take longer than that, we will notify you. If you need your changes expedited, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Depending on our current production schedule, this may incur an expedite fee.
Quality Control
Each change goes through a quality control process to ensure that the changes are done correctly and completely the first time. Please allow for the extra time required to make sure the job is done right.
Additional Changes
If you have additional changes that you are working on, please let us know right away. We like to do all changes at one time to cut down on production time and save you money.
Preview of Changes
If you wish to preview your changes before we launch them to your website, please let us know at the time you submit your changes. Depending on the nature of the changes, a preview may not be available to you, but if it is, we will accommodate this. There may be a small additional charge for preview.
Fees
We bill by the hour for website changes, with a minimum charge of 15 minutes. If your website changes are expected to take more than 2 hours to complete, we will provide you with an estimate before we begin.
What If I Want to Make My Own Changes
If you decide that you would like to make your own website changes, you have 2 options:
Client Software
Our servers support most web development software suites. We can provide you with FTP/SCP access to your website. We do not provide technical support or guidance on using your software, nor HTML support. We only support the connection to our server. In this case, there is no charge for setting up FTP/SCP for you, but you are responsible for purchasing the software you choose to use to make edits.
Content Management System
A web-content-management system (WCMS or Web CMS) is content management system (CMS) software, for creating and managing HTML content. It is used to manage and control a large, dynamic collection of Web material (HTML documents and their associated images). Unlike Web-site builders like Microsoft FrontPage or Adobe Dreamweaver, a CMS allows non-technical users to make changes to an existing website with little or no training. A CMS typically requires an experienced coder to set up and add features, but is primarily a Web-site maintenance tool for non-technical administrators.
If you are interested in purchasing a CMS system to manage your website, please contact us and we'll discuss the best system for your specific needs.
